Index > Resources > Members Area > Members' Day and Trust AGM 2008 ![]() The Trust's 2008 Annual General Meeting took place at Edington on 26 April, with some 56 members attending. The Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming the members present. Reviewing his first year in office, he said that it had shown him how unwieldy the Trust was, so that less progress had been made with some issues than he had anticipated. He thanked the Committee for all its efforts, but more assistance was needed from other members, or the Trust's activities would have to be curtailed. He was also concerned about the level of unconstructive criticism from some quarters: this would have to change. For 2008/9 his aim was to establish the future direction of the Trust, producing both a statement of strategy and an action plan. The following matters were subject to discussion at the meeting: The Chairman and Treasurer responded to a number of queries about the report and accounts for 2007 and the Annual Report and Accounts were then duly approved. The Chairman also explained the situation leading to the resignation of the Museum Curator. The Officers for 2008/9 are: Committee members for 2008/9 are: Paul Guppy, Rosie Jacob, Andrew Marsh, George Moon, Andrew Naish and Ian Young. The 2009 AGM will be held at Edington on 25 April.
